I know that I hadn't blogged about the Drupal 6 RC4 version due to work related issues but who cares.
Drupal 6 is now an offical release. What did it take? Over a year of development and over 1600 issues resolved. You can read more about the release here.
I've got a version of this site running an earlier release candidate so migrating over will be coming soon. The biggest issue will be getting the theme ported over.
On the 12th September Rob Levin, known to many as Freenode's lilo, was hit by a car while riding his bike. He suffered head injuries and was in a coma. Rob was being treated at the Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital in Houston, Texas where he passed away on Sept 16th
I've known lilo for approximately 8 years now from back when I was working at VA Linux and he was over at Linuxcare. He could be a pain in the ass at times but then again who couldn't be. Regardless I wish his family well.

So we're proud to announce the availability of the SourceForge Compile Farm. This service is going to allow open source developers to test their projects and how well it compiles on both Linux and *BSD systems that they might not normally have access to.
It's something that we've wanted to do for a long time and just now got around to getting it implemented.
