On the 12th September Rob Levin, known to many as Freenode's lilo, was hit by a car while riding his bike. He suffered head injuries and was in a coma. Rob was being treated at the Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital in Houston, Texas where he passed away on Sept 16th
I've known lilo for approximately 8 years now from back when I was working at VA Linux and he was over at Linuxcare. He could be a pain in the ass at times but then again who couldn't be. Regardless I wish his family well.

This is a hoax, he did not die, noone knows why but there are many questions abuot the status of the non profit corporeation apparently its in bad standing with the state. A cloud also still hangs over his head from a court case dealing with his buisness`s back in 1992. Regardless there is no proof whatsoever that he has died other than one person saying she talked to his wife. No obiturarys, no police reports, no medical examiner confirmation. But in fact there is confirmation from Houston police that there was NOT any hit and run involving a robert levin or any casuality hit and run this past year in and around the Houston area.
